Our newest addition to the journalist squad, Mario "rocKeT" Grdovic is bringing you this new feature listed below.
mTw
vs. eSport-Balkan
In a expected "blowout'' match, we saw mTw take on the rookies from Croatia/Serbia. mTw winning the knife round, stayed put, choosing the CT side. We saw esport.Balkan take the first pistol round of the match along with the next two rounds taking a promising 3:0 start. The first buy round by mTw, we saw an agressive A setup wich allowed them to clear A and setup for a esports B strat... having 4 CTs waiting at the B bombsite and 1 CT flanking the terrorist, mTw easily shut down the T's. mTw taking the next 4 rounds, we finally saw eSport-Balkan in a promising 2v2 situation but mTw were simply the more experiend team. mTw taking the rest of the rounds making it a 12:3 score were simply to much for rookies.
Switching sides, esport.Balkan were again successful on the pistol round after stopping mTw's A split. With the score being 2:0 in favour of esport, mTw managed to win a deco round after Weber got the opening pick brining the score to 2:1. The 5th round of the half, we saw Madbone from esport win a 1v2 clutch and was looking like the only player from esport that brought his ''A game''. Finally mTw managed to close the game, with steady and composed play. Final result: 16:6 in favour of mTw
CKRAS
vs. Nitrose
Another CSS powerhouse began their EMS season against the french Nitrose. Winning the knife round, CKRAS stayed on CT.With the opening round of the match on its way, we saw Nitrose try to execute an interesting B split that was eventually shut down at Z. With the first three rounds going to CKRAS, the first gun round of the match saw Nitrose try to execute a A split, but they were shut down by the awps of wantz and cajunb. With the score 5:0 in favour of CKRAS, we saw an interesting 1v3 clutch situation, where Lirum from Nitrose managed to take down two CT's before taken down by 3k2. The very next round, we saw Lirum again in a clutch situation, this time 1v4 with the bomb down, managing to kill 3 CT's before being killed by cajunb, but to late as the bomb exploded, putting Nitose on the board: result 6:1. CKRAS seemed to be controlling the match after managing to get the opening pick 13 out of 15 rounds. With Fetish shutting down the B bombsite and the awps of wantz and cajunb working the A site... CKRAS went to a commanding 14:1 lead at the half.
Nitrose was able to take the pistol round as CT. But it was hard to expect some major comeback. The second round of the half brought us a Deco by CKRAS with a 4v2 man advantage, but weren't able to execute. Down 4:0, we saw wantz from CKRAS in a 1v4 situation, managing to get 3 deagle kills he was put in a 1v1 but failed to win the round. With the score being 5:0 in favour of Nitrose, CKRAS descided to go with a fast mid rush and succeeded to take the round. With one round to go, a well executed A split sealed the match for CKRAS. Final result: 16:6 in favour of CKRAS.
Anexis
vs. Gamed.de
The closest match of week 1 was between our CSS squad Anexis against tge German side, Gamed.de. The crucial knife round went to Anexis. The first pistol round of the match went to Anexis, even though Gamed managed to plant the bomb with a 4v3 advantage. The second and third round unfolded similar, Gamed managed to get the bomb down, but Anexis answered with a good retake. Interesting enough, Gamed managed to plant the bomb all 3 rounds, with would helped them alot throughout the match. Down 4:0 Gamed managed to get their first round after Meijin won a 1v2 clutch that forced Anexis to eco and lose the next round. Being up 4:2, Anexis managed to secure the next 4 rounds after some see saw fragging by both teams. The 11th round of the half, we saw ryu from Gamed win a 1v2 to take another important round. With the result 8:3, the last 4 rounds went to Anexis, after what seemed to be some sloppy play by the germans. The halftime score 12:3. Even though Gamed.de were planting the bomb successfully: 7 bomb plants total and getting their picks, we saw a lot of 3v3, 2v2 and 1v1 situations that could have gone either way.
The first pistol round of the second half saw Vilzu in a 1v2 with the bomb planted, managing to get one CT, but was taken down by Meijin. The third round gave us a suprise buy by Anexis, with AK's against the CT's with Famas in their hands, Anexis managed to get the opening pick but Gamed.de managed to take the round. With the result 4:0, Anexis finally took a round after 2 quick awp picks by Falsu and Stonde at the B bomb site. With the result now 4:1 and only 3 rounds left, Anexis again managed two quick picks at the B bomb site and secure the round, bringing the overall score to 14:7. The 8th round of the half placed Stoned in a 1v1 against Kavkas who managed to take down 2 of his mates. Smart play by Stoned with the bomb ticking forced Kavkas to attack Stoned who was wisely stalling time until the bomb exploded. Gamed.de secured the next 2 rounds bringing the overall result to 15:10 for Anexis. With just one more round to secure the win, Anexis went for a ''A fake'' to B wich worked perfectly after Felsu managed to get the opening pick at Long A, and with the bomb planted at the B bombsite and a 2v1 man advantage for Anexis, Stoned got the final kill to secure Anexis's first win of the EMS season. Final result: 16:10 in favour of Anexis.
