Crossfire Community Awards: Anexis Triumphant!
veröffentlicht am 16.01.2012 - 09:33 Uhr geschrieben von anakintm
0In the past twenty days we had both Tek-9.org and Cadred awards, as representing the CoD4 and CS:S community. Really similar to that we had Crossfire.nu awards that helped us to determine, what players and teams marked the year 2011.
As expected, Anexis managed to secure a sufficent stock of votes and proved that they were the team to watch this year. Their win on SAGE LAN, merging with their rival team Dignitas, forfeting the EC Finals - those were the biggest news of the past 365 days.

Anexis-R0SS statement:
Winning Team of the Year was something that i wanted to repeat from last year and was the one award that i/we wanted to win. I felt that this year we did truly deserve it. winning every competition that we entered or should i say finished :P. Im not surprised Queens came a close second, throughout the year they had a strong lineup especially with sqzz playing for them, someone who i am sure is going to win player of the year. In truth im glad that Queens came a close second as razz put a lot of time and effort into making a strong lineup, even if it included Anexis players. When the 2 teams met though, we (Anexis) did prevail in both the Excello Cup and Jeesports 1st Tournament. Unfortunately due to complications, we were unable to play in the BFB final which im sure would have been a great spectacle. Dignitas had a relatively poor year but still pushed us at lan and in truth G2P were underachievers as i felt that the core of that lineup would have played us in the SAGE Final and with the Anexis and part Dignitas lineups merging, predicted they would push us all the way in the final of BFB. Thanks again to those who voted for us, we hope that some tournaments are announced soon so we can come back/continue from where we left off.

R0SS said the following:
Well it is great to win Match of the Year, especially with it being the match where Anexis won SAGE. Being the first lan that myself, Jay and Gav won it was a great feeling especially winning against a team like Dignitas, who in truth weren't at their best, but were good enough to push us all the way to a deciding map. There were several key moments in that game like my panzer killing Squall and Night who was repairing the controls, with mAus following up with a huge nade and smg kills on another engineer with sqzz and xylos clutching too which made it exciting. It was great having such a team chemistry that we were able to win but also enjoy the other side of the lan which you dont usually see as "top players/teams". Congrats to Dignitas for making it such a thrilling game, but i must say that I felt that the mcon vs anexis game was better as it was the one time in the year where we looked beat and somehow managed to win radar with under 1 second and win a close deciding map. Thanks to those who voted!

Anexis-sqzz statement:
I feel pleased and honoured that so many members of the community have voted me as best medic. How to become best medic? Bribery for the win :), I just think being a good medic is not all about having your needle out constantly like I used to do which I learned not to, its about knowing when to revive then knowing when to shoot in depending on the situation. And for all the other shit medics don't be so rambo and learn to use your needle.
Congratulations to our boys for their great great work in 2011 and we surely hope that they will pick up the same where they left off and achieve even better results in 2012. Well done!
