Thanks to our beloved hardworking managers here at Anexis eSports and after quite some time of expectations and impatience, we finally got our hands on the beta version of the new Valve's title - Counter Strike: Global Offensive and we are ready to share our derailed train of thoughts and give you the best insight in the game.

Where to start? I guess I should notify you that this article will be solely based on my opinion and it doesn't mean that you will agree or disagree with me. Let's see!

Few days back, I came on steam for God-knows-which-time I got to our hardworking man Crosix and asked the same question i've been asking over and over - got the beta yet?? But luckily, this time it was different, he notified me that they managed to get the keys and there was an account set up exclusively for the CS:S team and myself in order to test the game.

First of all, I was excited to get my hands on it, but the main problems was the download, I needed approximately 1.5 hours to get it with my bad internet and it was not really smart thing to do with the CS:S team jumping on board every once in a while.

So finally, when the game ultimately downloaded, I was ready to start.

So first of all I went to bug myself with commands at first, making the game optimal as it can get, changing resolution, sensitivity, crosshair and adding my CS:S binds. And then, I launched it, my first 5v5 game versus bots was quite embarrasing, they were simply tearing me apart while I was struggling to get on hold with the recoil and my aim. My first impression is that the game looks like CS in the CoD4 world. I just can't shake the feeling that the loads of features were simply picked up from the famous FPS title. For example:

- Two available maps (de_dust and de_dust2) look so similar to mp_citystreets if you look at the textures, buildings etc.

- Gun sounds seem similar as well

- The awp is a copy of the CoD4 scope, way lighter and easier to use that the CS:S one.

So, my first game on the Global Operations didn't go quite well, but after 15 minutes I was already overcoming the recoil issues and aiming like a hero, even though I still don't quite understand why are the bullets flying so high after the first burst.

Those who haven't got a hold on the key probably saw loads of reviews and video content about the game and that's why I won't be bugging you as much with it so I'd rather conclude it with a bit of my own opinion, which was the point of this article anyway.

I personally believe that the game has a huge potential, even though it was pointed that it will be a casual title for the console gamers, etc. NO IT WON'T!

Developers are doing a magnificent job, gathering the feedback from the scene and fixing the bugs along the way, that is why I rate this a promising game. They are putting their effort into it and if you realise that this is still an closed beta and its already playable, it can give you a huge moral boost if you were looking to venture into a completely new title.

The game itself has loads of new features - new weapons, maps, matchmaking system and I could go on and on about it, but the most important thing is that this time WE are creating our new title and there is someone out there that listens, so jump on the steam forums and drop your precious feedback to the developers.
