Anexis CS:S - The Final Revamp

A while ago we announced our new team regarding the departure of VILZU and heku who decided to spend their time outside gaming and our organisation. That change seemed to be the last one prior to the competitive 2012 where our team was destined to make the final breakthrough and prove their worth.

But due to unforeseen circumstances, we are forced to make another change in order to progress a bit more, to secure that we have the best Finland can offer at this time.

So we are ready to announce the departure of our players. First things first, Rasmus "RASSEJE" Haapanen is leaving the team due to technical problems. In an attempt of overclocking, he managed to completely destroy his motherboard and was forced to play with a laptop in the past month or so, which majorly affected his gameplay and behaviour so the team was forced to find a new player.

With a little bit of shuffling, they came across Olli "Jesu" Sarainmaa who showed an interest in our squad and joining it, but only under one condition, which was bringing along his long time friend Janne "zawahiR" Mikkola. Unfortunately for our team, it meant that one more member needed to take a back seat. The dice fell on Mikko "fAlsu" Fallström, but we are thrilled to announce that he will continue to be a part of Anexis eSports as a 6th player. During the latest events, Mikko was one of our standout players who represented the organisation in the best way possible and we would like to thank him for that.

Team-manager Stefan 'cros1x' Baarman said the following:

"After God joined the team again, a fresh wind blowing in our CS:S ranks. Unfortunately, the team lost with VILZU and RASSEJE two good players, so they had to change once again. We have heard from many sites that the team could not develop under this circumstances and through the constant changes in it's lineup. Nevertheless, the team has proven to be a really talented and upcoming team. We are looking forward to the year 2012 and the project ahead, watching the team stabilise, build upon their certain potential and hopefully grow to challenge the best at the top table. We believe in the team and each of it's teammates: God, JESU, zwhR, stonde and MAKKE!"

Both JESU and zwhR opened the year in fashion, winning the LANTREK 2012 event with a mixteam (ässämix, henu, zwhr, aksy, gstus).

He was marked as a breakthrough player by Cadred.org in a popular feature you can read here.

Captain Samuel 'God' Rasanen spoke about the change:

"Once again the good old lineup shuffle, which will be the final one - one last stand. Shortly after we started playing in start of january, RASSEJE's motherboard fried in what seemed to be an overclocking accident. Forced to play with a laptop RASSEJE had a huge shift in his in-game performance and overall behaviour. Seeing this as a weakness not suitable for attending non-byoc LAN's lead to unanimously agreeing on letting him go. Admist the chaos of searching for a new fifth, we stumbled across our old Anexis teammate zwhR, who just recently resurfaced to the CS:Source scene alongside Jesu, winning Lantrek 2012 event with a mixteam. After a short talk with the eXelon duo, we came to the conclusion that they're the finest Finland has to offer and decided to pick them up. Unfortunately this change doesn't come without a price as fAlsu has been benched, and is now acting as our 6th player. There is no beef between the team and him, he has done his job remarkably over the course we've played together. A bit over a month to practise we're going to debut at Winter Assembly 2012 -LAN, hopefully by then we will be up to speed and give a good game to anyone we play. See you there!"

Samuel 'God' Rasanen

As you've noticed in the statement above, the first test for our team will be Winter Assembly, which takes place at the beginning of March in Finland.
