0After the end of the german eps season 17 we decided to stop supporting Call of Duty 4 until the 5 hungarian and one slovak caught our attention. Before joining our org, the following five guys and their manager played for zP! and aNimus. Insulted as onliners and cheater they decided to attend CIC7 and finished fourth with a great performance. They cleaned up all the insults to be onliner and established themselves in the top group of Call of Duty 4 :
Tamás "kZstaR" Ádámszky
Dávid "Stormy" Fézler
Csongor "FUTUREEE" Beder
Roland "z1koX" Kosztyu
Attila "Boco" Árvai
We immediately saw the talent and potential of these upcoming team and decided to give them a chance. And we did definetly right. With winning their first big online tournament, the Excello Bigfoot Challenge, they established themselves in the leading group of Call of Duty 4 Teams. That was a really important process to motivate our team for attending their first EU-LAN - Outpost on Fire 4. The expectations werent that high, a top5 result seemed to be realistic, because there were teams attending like TCM,TLR and other big names. But our guys improved their talent and surprised the whole Cod4-Community with beating every team and win their first EU-LAN.

Our and especially their expectations for the Dublin eSports Event were really high and the community expected this event for a long time to see Anexis after their first LAN-Win in action again. And they didnt got disappointed by our team. In some great matches versus teams like Winfakt!, fuZion, RAGE and Infused.Tt which was our opponent in the Grand Final, our team shown their amazing skill again and played themselves to the LAN-Double.

With their second LAN-Win in their back they performed really well online and got a huge motivation for their next EU-LAN, SAGE! On Sage they easily went through the groupstage and the playoffs before reaching the GrandFinal to face Team Winfakt! there. Beating them quite easy with 13-6 and 13-9, they picked up their third LAN-Win in a row and established themselves as the Top Team in europe behind Powergaming. They already paid back our trust within beating teams like eSuba and Winfakt! offline and bringing the name Anexis to all people in the Cod4 Community.

The next big LAN-Event in 2011 was the MSI Grunex Lan, hosted in Prague. Our guys, at that moment listed at the second best team in the world, after Powergaming, who changed their org and were playing for Online Kingdom here, got the chance to reach the number 1 spot with beating the five czechs. After dominating the groupsstage, they had to face the underdog MIW and beat them in a tense match. Their next opponent was
LowLandLions, a team which was an upcoming team at that moment as well. With beating them 2-1 we succesfully reached the Semi´s to meet
Online Kingdom for the first time. Our guys underlined their claims and beat them 13-9 and 13-7 and reached their fourth LAN-Final this year.
Online Kingdom won the Loser-Bracket-Final so we had to face them again in the Grand-Final. With losing the first map, mp_crossfire with 22-20 in the third overtime. But we took revenge on our homemap, mp_backlot and destroyed them 13-3 and saved the fourth EU-LAN Win in a row and also climbed up to the number "1" spot.

After winning the fourth EU-LAN in a row and reaching the number "1" spot, our guys decided to travle the long way to Helsinki to attend their next european event. At the Helsinki Cod4 Challenge they easily reached the playoffs without any lose in the groupstage. After an easy win in the quarter final vs.
Team Prior (13-4, 13-6), our guys qualified themselves for the Semi´s to face
eMpathy there. After a 13-7 mapwin on mp_Strike, our guys won the second map, mp_backlot as well (13-5) and reached the Winner-Bracket-Final. Against the russians from Team Empire they played a very tense and interesting first map, mp_backlot which they won in the overtime with 16-14. Surprised of the strong performance of
Empire, the spectators couldnt expect to see the second map, which was mp_citystreets but it was really unbalanced. With 13-2 our guys sent the russians to the Consolation-Final and had to wait for the winner of the match
Team ESPC vs.
Empire. The Finnish team, who played for Yoyotech a few months ago found their way back into the Cod4-Scene and performed really strong in the Grandfinal vs. our Team. Our guys around Team-Captain David'Stormy'Fezler maybe underrated the finnish guys and in this case, it went to a very tense and amazing final.
Team ESPC started good and won the first map mp_Strike so both teams had to fight in a third map for the pricemoney. On mp_backlot the score changed almost every three rounds in favour of the other team, but in the end,
Anexis could win their 5th EU-LAN with 16-13 against a strong
Team ESPC.

Our Cod4 Team while competing @ HCC #2
The last european event after 5 EU-LAN-Wins in a row and 2 hungarian LAN-Wins, was the E-Series Maximus in
Weesp. I had the special pleasure to stay with the team over the weekend and get in touch with them. They are such a sick bunch of friendly guys and played amazing at the venue. We had a great time and the result was another success of
ANEXIS eSports.
After four easy wins in the groupstage #1 vs. Druidz, German Online Skillz, Team Green and NCe our team had to face Phantasmagoria to play for the first spot in Group C. On mp_crossfire our guys could beat our permanent rival with 13-9 and finished their group on the first spot with 5wins out of 5matches. Groupstage 2 went easier then expected with a 13-5 win over
progrip and a 13-2 success against
NEDGER.
The playoffs really went to a highlight for each eSport-Fan. In the quarter finals the belgish guys from
Antwerp Aces challenged our team and performed sick. After losing the first map,mp_Strike with 13-8 to the belgish guys around 'sEnzaj'. But our team gave a great response with a 13-4 domination on mp_Citystreets. Before the last map, mp_Backlot, the homemap of both teams started, the first specators and Tek9 Newswriter 'Bcrbo' came to me and told me thats the end for
ANEXIS, because ACES should be stronger on mp_Backlot. But it went another way. Easier than expected our guys could improve their ambitions for winning their sixth LAN in a row, with winning 13-7.
In the Semi´s it went even closer against Phantasmagoria again. After losing mp_Strike again with 13-7, our team was almost out on mp_Crossfire, but they turned the score in an amazing finish to 16-13 in the first overtime. The decider map, mp_Citystreets became the clearest map in the match with a 13-8 win of our guys around the amazing performing team of
Phan around their Scope 'zABZRWx'.
The Grand Final against TCM-Gaming didnt hold it promises of becoming a tense and amazing match, because our team just know how to play vs. the former best team in the world. 13-8 and 13-6 and the first spot again was the result of their sixth EU-LAN in 2011. To sum it up,
ANEXIS.Cod4 dominated the year like no other team and didnt lose any single LAN-Match.
This week Tek9 also announced the results of the Tek9 rankings and Anexis won two titles. Boco won the title for the best SMG and our team won a very special and great title.

Anexis eSports are without a doubt the best team of the year 2011. They had to be content with a 3rd place finish at the year's first event, Gamersject Winter Challenge, but ever since, were simply unbeatable. They have won an impressive seven international events in a row, walked away with $6,000 in the biggest online cup in Call of Duty 4 and had to hand out lost maps the least of all the game's current top teams. It's only a matter of time before these are conducted into our collective memories as one of the true legends of the game, if they aren't already.
Quote from Peter "JAYME" Biro
"I am very happy that my guys have managed to win Team of the Year and I think everybody can say that they were deserved winners. I would like to thank them personally for their effort and hard work. Of course a big shoutout to Anexis eSports e.V. who made everything possible and we'd like to give a big hand to all the fans and friends who supported us throughout the year."
