After their terrific performance during Outpost on Fire 4 in Antwerp, Call of Duty 4 team manager - Peter "Jayme" Biro is sitting down with our journalist Toni "anakintm" Milicevic.

They have been chattering about few hot topics in the scene at the moment - The team's beginning and their journey to Anexis organisation, Gamersject Winter Challenge event, revealed the saga about their trip to OoF4, dropped few lines about tek-9.org monthly rankings, spoke about their plans for the future and (of course) made a little peak in Peter's personal opinions about managing a team.

Hello Peter. Thanks for joining us today. Let's start with few basic questions, could you tell us how did you start you eSports career and why weren't working your way as a player instead of managing a team?

Hello Toni, and welcome to the readers! I started as a player, actually I don't remember what year was it, around 2004. The serious part of my career begun with call of duty 4. I was the first hungarian who ever played for an international team and received a full support. After I took home the best call of duty player award in 2009, and due to the last year of secondary school I've decided to step up from gaming. My last event was CiC7 in March 2010 where my current team amazed everyone with their 3rd place. I knew them for a long time already, and it was obvious they need to find some better home who can give them the right support. At that point they agreed to take me as their team manager and we are surfing together since then.

Could you tell us a bit more about the starts of this Hungarian powerhouse. Did things work well from the beginning or you had few setbacks along the way?

Well as I mentioned in the previous question the really big start was on CIC7 (March 2010). There are always some kind of setbacks for every team. Due to some like that we've changed 2 players in the lineup, and I can honestly say we are in our best form at the moment.

You changed quite a few organisations during your path to the top, from ZeroPoint, Hello Kitty, aNimus Gaming and now you are a part of a growing project such as Anexis eSports e.V. Where did you enjoyed your time so far and are there any of them that didn't really satisfy the needs of a professional Call of Duty 4 team?

Well... lets talk about them in order. We were quite unlucky with ZeroPoint since they turned inactive after 1 big event, although they were pretty promising at the beginning. Hello Kitty was not an orga it was just our fun name during the search of a new home. I must tell you that we were unlucky with aNimus Gaming too since after 1 event they've decided to not support cod4 anymore (or at least not as much as we needed financially). To be a part of a growing project like Anexis is a pleasure. We dont have 1 bad words (yet haha!). Everything is amazing, and we hope we'll make the name of Anexis really big in the call of duty scene. We definitely enjoy the most in Anexis.

What are your impresions about the Anexis eSports e.V. organisation so far?

In 1 word: AMAZING.

Personally, I met you guys at Gamersject #2 event where you stormed the tournament and took the first place easily and really proved that you are heading to the top. Recently you played at GWC in Zagreb as well, what are your memories about that event?

Memories are absolutely positive since we finished 3rd, and by that time we were 100% satisfied with that, so as our orga then. The event was well organized we hope there will be an other Gamersject event during the summer.

It was definitely a strong event with six out of ten top teams attending. Do you think that, with a bit more practice, you could have placed above TCM and Power Gaming in that exact event?

I dont think we needed more practice. We were really unlucky against Power. All I can remember is every situation was in favor of them. We lost 13-11 twice which is really close.

If the organisation decides to throw another edition during the summer, will you be interested in visiting Croatia once again and maybe win another title after Gamersject #2?

100 percent YES.

Everyone has been talking about the saga of your trip to Antwerp and attending Outpost on Fire 4, could you put more light on it and explain what exactly happened there?

Im not sure what but something happened with an F16 on our destination airport which made it closed for a while. Unfortunately there were no flight the next day, only 2 days later which obviously wouldnt work. After 1 hour of hesitating and checking out which/what would be the best solution we've decided to drive there with boco's fathers car which we appreciate a lot. It was a bit sucky the trip last a total of 13 hours instead of a comfy 3 one :D

What were the emotions at that moment? Were you disappointed or just more excited about the journey and attending the event?

At the very beginning and when I first received a txt message from Ryanair and that our flight was cancelled we thought its some kind of a late april's fool. We soon needed to realizes theres no joke at all. We understood whats going on, we didn't really whine or rage or anything we tried to race our mind as much as we could to find out the best option. We were still having fun and laughing etc :)

How did you feel about the sudden change of the groups, were you preparing for an exact opponent and did that change mess your plans or you just went there and decided to crush everyone along the way?

We werent preparing for any opponent. We were really happy with the group changes since we wanted to play ROX and CEFO really much since they knocked us out online from 3 prize-cup and we wanted to show them whats REAL!!! haha

Well, we have seen the power of the team there. All teams had few setbacks during the tournament but Anexis managed to win all matches flawlessly, without a proper rebellion from other participants. Were you disappointed with TCM's performance or maybe surprised by CEFO?

We weren't disappointed with TCM, although we would really want to fight with their 'proper' lineup and not a mix one. About CEFO.... we were not surprised at all. They should win the event with their online performance :)

Anexis eSports e.V. - Crushing their opponents in the Elimination Bracket at Outpost on Fire 4

In your opinion, do you deserve a spot between best two teams in the tek-9.org rankings after that performance on OoF4?

Yes. We probably will be 2nd. Even the TCM guys said we'll be 2nd so yeah...

To step down a bit from competitive part of Anexis CoD4 team, could you explain us, what does a team manager like you does to help the team achieve their goals?

Well... I want my players to focus on their game only. I want them to concentrate on the matches and not on other stuff like which hotel are we staying and where is it, which train do we need to catch, etc. Im doing everything theres around apart from sitting in front of the pc and playing :)

Do you believe that managers aren't really appreciated by the scene as they should be, considering the lion work they do to secure everything for the players?

I dont know whats the scenes opinion about a manager but my players appreciate what I do and they are 100% satisfied with my work so I'm happy :)

What about your family and friends, do they approve the work you are doing in Electronic Sports or they are a bit sceptical about it?

At the very beginning (as a player) my parents were a bit cocky with it (lol), but after they noticed its actually bigger then they think and you can actually learn several things from it they supported me. My friends were always fine with it and were curious about how all the things with esports work.

What are the future plans for the team during the summer. Which event will you be looking into attending?

Future plans are to win as many offline event as we can. We'll be attending every big event of the summer. Starting with the Dublin Esport Event and the TLR Challange.

In your opinion, which teams will be Anexis biggest rivals in the second part of 2011?

Power gaming.

Do you believe there will be an event that will gather all top teams where we will finally know who is the best of the best?

It wont depend on us since we'll be attending every big event. I hope there will be 1 really big event where the best teams will attend together.

Really appreciate your time Jayme, you have certainly been an excellent person to talk to. I sincerely wish that all of your plans will turn out exact the way you want them to. Any final thoughts for the ending of our little interview?

I'd like to give a big shout-out to Anexis eSports e.V. and all of its sponsors. I would like to tell the readers they can have a little view of my days by reading my tweets at http://twitter.com/J4YME and everyone should go and check out a dope clothing line at http://estovar.com :)
