The UK event organizers of epic.LAN has today announced a newly astonishing partnership. The trio ( Fasthosts, GameShadow and epic.LAN ) has been on a look out to bring a new tournament based on online gaming observations, debuting with the Fasthosts Power Tournament which will be featuring an amazing £10,000 prize pot, split out between Call of Duty 4 and CounterStrike: Source.

GameShadow have been founded back in 2003 and has began its life providing automatic videogame patching to gamers all over the world. as of 2012, GameShadow has delivered over 8 million downloads to nearly 3 million users and serves to provide gamers with game-related content relevant to their individual game collections, along with a blog, news and user reviews.

Launching on the following week, GameShadow Battles invites gamers to take part in a series of challenges within two featured games: ‘Call of Duty 4 and Counter Strike: Source.

Up to 128(!) teams will be able to take part in the tournament, with each team consisting of five players.

The prize fund, which is being provided by Fasthosts, will be divided equally between the two challenges, with each £5,000 prize to be shared between the top three finishing teams. The winning teams will collect £2,750, the runners up £1,500, and bronze medalists £750.

The excitement is particularly big for this event, as it will not only feature the thrilling challenges we have grown accustom to; but will be the first event worldwide that will be organized, featuring some of the best teams in the world.

As usual, our beloved CoD4 team will be taking part in that event, and certainly, we will be here and broadcast what is happening exactly.

The last time featured EMS was back in January, where then Western Wolves took the title after beating our very own CoD4 team in the grand final, taking home a cool €1,250. After the season of EMS IX the grand prize has increased to €1,350, a huge sum for an online competition.

Whether this news will be enough to silence the doomsayers of the CoD4 scene is yet to be seen, but the fact remains that this was a promising move. The ESL have clearly been impressed by the community's efforts in sustaining and revitalising CoD4 over the newer, flashier titles in the series and have duly rewarded ( since the old times ) us with another bite at the apple. With such a golden opportunity handed to us, it is now up to us to make the very most of it and not let it slip through our fingers again.

However, qualification rounds of EMS X has already been played by the teams with such good results, and of course, Our CoD4 team is still waiting for its revenge because of last season lost against the Wolf. Nevertheless, the EMS team has been said the truth " Now we are looking forward to see if the Wolves can get revenge on the kings of CoD4 " So the question would be look like that Who will win this year's tournament?

After our Gamersject Bunny Challenge coverage ended up in fashion, with our Call of Duty 4 team topping the rest of the competition, we have got a new offline features coming up in the United Kingdom with Joao "ERRZyx" Ferreira stepping up to the plate, reporting live from the venue.

This will be the spring edition of the famous tournament, taking place from 4th - 7th of May. Teams will be competing in various of games, but all eyes are mostly pointed towards the Counter Strike: Source tournament, where we will be seeing some big names in the shape of Team VeryGames, TtDRAGONS, Fragmasters TOXiC and many, many more.

Our CoD4 team will attend the event in Zagreb. With teams such as fnatic, eSuba & Phantasmagoria. The event is already underway and we will have our Editor in Chief reporting directly from the venue.

The new 2012 international season has begun for CounterStrike:Source, we are seeing almost all top teams looking for a successfull beggining. But let's be honest, things won't be easy for any of the contenders since we already saw few upsets and tense matches that went into overtime. It remains to be seen how will things turn out.

Our both Anexis CounterStrike divisions are present at the event. CS 1.6 team managed to advance to the playoffs and they are facing Na'Vi in the first round, while our CS:S team is playing versus old friends in the shape of Copenhagen Wolves.
